Requesting leave
How do I apply for leave?
A request for regular leave must be requested in writing by parents from the absence coordinator at least three days prior to the leave. Regular leave may be granted for such events as a wedding or funeral. Please use the request form at the bottom of this page.
Leave to visit a family doctor, orthodontist, dentist or hospital can also be granted. However, we prefer that these visits take place outside of school hours whenever possible. Leave in these cases will not be granted if there is a test scheduled in Magister, or during test and school exam weeks.
Where do I submit the leave request?
Is your child in grade 1 or 2? If so, please submit the leave using the leave form below to the absence coordinator of building D verzuimd@sondervick.nl
Is your child in vmbo or mavo grade 3 or 4? If so, please submit the leave of absence form below to the absence coordinator of building E verzuime@sondervick.nl
Is your child in havo or vwo grade 3 , 4 , 5 or 6? Then please submit the leave using the leave form below to the absence coordinator of building A verzuima@sondervick.nl
Leave request guidelines
Extra leave due to religious obligations under the Compulsory Education Act
When your child must fulfill duties arising from religion or belief, you are entitled to leave. As a guideline, one day per obligation will be given for this. If a student uses this form of extra leave, his/her parents must notify the Education Manager at least three days in advance.
