At the Sondervick College, students in the havo and vwo programs can opt for bilingual education. They then follow more than half of all subjects in English from the first year of secondary school. By immersing students in the English language, they quickly become actively skilled in it. In addition, TTO students are intensively introduced to other cultures and manners. International
oriented projects, activities and excursions ensure that they become true 'Global Citizens'. The extra subject 'ELC - English Language and Culture' also contributes to this and extra language skills such as 'debating' and 'public speaking' are practiced.
T-havo and T-vwo
After the first three learning years, a student completes TTO with an official Cambridge Junior Certificate with a B1 level for T-havo and a B2 level for T-vwo. From grade 4, students follow an additional language track preparing for the Cambridge Advanced (C1) or Cambridge Proficiency (C2) certificates.
TTO is certified by the European Platform-Nuffic(www.europeesplatform.nl).
On our site you will find an overview of the voluntary parental contribution per grade and the activities that are paid from it. If the income from parental contributions is insufficient to fund the offerings, activities may collectively not take place. We never exclude students who do not pay a contribution.
