Care and welfare

How we work

Students who choose the Care and Welfare (Z&W) profile course in our mixed pathway are students who enjoy working with people. They choose to learn in the practical field.

In the Care and Wellness plaza, you work with classmates on the same profile module or elective. After instruction and studying the theory, you immediately apply it in practice. The two profile modules and the two electives take fourteen weeks each.

Sometimes you work individually and sometimes you work together on, for example, a piece of work or presentation. We often practice certain actions through role-playing and you may also work with real clients.

Profile modules and electives

Profile Modules

In Care and Wellness, you get to know yourself and the people you might work with.

The learning workbooks consist of theory and practice. The theory is divided into chapters with many processing assignments.

The profile modules and electives are an excellent match to the student's experience. You learn to deal with different target groups, from babies to the elderly.

All GL students take two mandatory profile modules

Electives

In addition, GL students have a choice of two elective packages consisting of two electives:

Choice Beauty Package

Choice Package Lifestyle

What can you do with this course?

The students who leave the Sondervick with a Care and Welfare diploma go on to very different directions at MBO level 3/4.

In general, GL students choose to train as teaching assistants, pedagogical assistants in a daycare center, caregivers or nurses in a hospital or nursing home, maternity nurses, youth-juvenile workers, physician assistants and sports instructors.
