Manufacturing, installation and energy

How we work

In Produce, Install and Energy (PIE) you learn basic techniques from the metal, electrical and installation technology. Students from the mixed pathway who choose the PIE profile are real technicians and have a passion for everything to do with technology. They choose to spend six class hours a week learning at the technology center.

During the practical assignments, much of the theory is covered. As a result, you learn theory by doing it in practice and the number of theory lessons are limited. All classes take place in a fully equipped practical classroom. For example, we have 3D printers, a laser cutter and a CNC turning, milling and bending machine. We also have solar panels and solar collectors for the subject of renewable energy.

Profile and electives

Profile subjects
At PIE, you will take two compulsory basic profile subjects:

Electives
In addition to the compulsory profile subjects, you may choose four electives. Together with your mentor, you determine your path! The PIE electives are:

What can you do with this profile?

With your diploma, you can move on to various level 4 MBO courses. Many students continue in a technical direction. For example mechatronics, electrical engineering, ICT or engineering. They enroll at different schools such as Summa College, ROC Midden Brabant or Koning Willem 1 College.
