The Regulations on Objections and Appeals in Pupil Matters govern the procedure surrounding the handling of objections and appeals. This involves decisions relating to pupil matters such as examinations and the admission, promotion, suspension and expulsion of pupils.
Our Secondary Education Complaints Procedure
On the basis of these regulations, parents and pupils can file a complaint about behaviors,decisions or failure to act of staff, school management or board members. A complaint will only be considered by the Complaints Committee if no satisfactory solution has been found at the school itself. Privacy Regulations Sondervick College
A variety of information about staff, parents and students is collected in files at school. This information is confidential and may be viewed only by authorized staff members. The school is required to provide certain information to government agencies. There is a Supervisory Committee, whose task is to supervise the protection of privacy and the proper implementation of its provisions. The Supervisory Committee consists of one representative from the management team and two from the Participation Council (MR).
Law partially banning face-covering clothing
On August 1, 2019, the Act partially banning face-covering clothing came into effect in locations where communication through facial expression is important. The ban applies in educational institutions to school employees, students,parents and other visitors on school premises, both indoors and outdoors.
The law provides that there is a prohibition on wearing clothing that covers the face completely or covers it in such a way that only the eyes are uncovered, or makes it unrecognizable, unless the face-covering clothing is:
- necessary to protect the body in connection with health or safety;
- is necessary in connection with requirements of the practice of a profession or sport, or;
- is appropriate in connection with participating in a festive or cultural activity.
Reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse
This reporting code outlines how signals of domestic violence or child abuse are dealt with within the school, so that help can be provided quickly and appropriately as possible.
