Calling in sick and requesting leave
How do I report my child sick?
Is your child sick? Then report it quickly and easily via Magister web on your PC or via the Magister app on your smartphone. The school is then immediately informed.
How does it work?
Go to: https://sondervick.magister.net and log in with your parent account. Or use the Magister app on your phone and log in with your
parent account. Using the menu, go to Absence. Click on 'Report' and submit the sick call.
Would you rather call us? That is also possible. Please call us between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. on 040 – 230 94 44.
Feeling better?
The sick report remains active until you report that your child has recovered. So don't forget to report that your child has recovered when they return to school. You can do this by telephone or via Magister, in the same place where you reported them sick.
Is your child ill for a longer period of time? Please let us know. We believe it is important to work together to take good care of our students.
Reporting medical leave?
Does your child need to visit the doctor, orthodontist, dentist, or hospital? You can enter medical leave for your child yourself in Magister. This can be for a whole day or part of the day. You can submit the leave well in advance so that we are informed of your child's absence in good time.
Please note: in principle, no leave will be granted during exam periods. We understand that medical leave is sometimes necessary, but we ask you to use this option with care. No leave will be granted during exam weeks.

Other leave
Regular leave
For regular leave, such as a wedding or funeral, we ask that you submit a written request to our absence coordinator at least three days in advance. You can use the request form found at the bottom of this page for this purpose.
Where do I submit the leave request?
Is your child in grade 1 or 2? Then submit the leave using the leave form below to the absence coordinator of building D verzuimd@sondervick.nl
Is your child in vmbo or mavo grade 3 or 4? Then submit the leave using the leave form below to the absence coordinator of building E verzuime@sondervick.nl
Is your child in havo or vwo grade 3 , 4 , 5 or 6? Then submit the leave using the leave form below to the absence coordinator of building A verzuima@sondervick.nl
Leave due to religion or belief.
Does your child have obligations from a religion or belief? For this it is possible to request leave. As a guideline, a maximum of one day per obligation will be granted for this.
Would you like to request this leave? Please notify the manager of education at least three days in advance.

Are you taking your final exams and unable to attend an exam component? Then first contact the school by telephone. Next, fill in the exam component absence form.
