Ties

Ties is a former student of our school. He is now doing the college course in Leisure & Events Management in Breda and he loves it. Ties' entire family attended Sondervick College, so he knew early on that that would be his high school as well. His years at vwo have been great for him.

"I liked school, thanks to the people around me," he says. "I always looked at the learning itself rather easily and because of that I also stayed back a year, but I didn't think that was such an issue. I ended up in a very nice group of friends and that left me with friends for life. A couple of teachers also helped me a lot. With Mr. Marx, for example, I could always talk openly. The atmosphere at school was always easy and relaxed."

Ties did bilingual education and made study trips to England, Scotland and Ireland. "Of course that was mostly very enjoyable, but you also learn a lot from it," he says. "I speak excellent English as a result, for example, and that still helps me a lot.
