Manufacturing, installation and energy
Are you technically inclined and would you like to work with metal, electrical or installation technology? In the Produce, Install and Energy (PIE) profile you will learn all about it. You will work with your hands as well as with machines and computers.
All lessons take place in a fully equipped practical area. For example, we have 3D printers, a laser cutter and a CNC turning, milling and bending machine. We also have solar panels and solar collectors for the renewable energy topic.
PIE at vmbo elementary/framework
Are you in vmbo basis/kader and choose PIE? Then you will follow a number of mandatory profile modules:
- Steering and automation
- Designing and making
- Install and assemble
- Machining and joining materials
In addition, you can choose from a number of electives such as: Domotics, Renewable Energy, Sheet Metal and Construction, Arc Welding or Machining.
In the third and fourth years, you will do a two-week internship.
PIE on mavo mixed curriculum
Are you in mavo and choose PIE? Then you will follow a number of mandatory profile modules:
- Steering and automation
- Designing and making
You can also choose from a number of courses such as Installing and Assembling, and Machining and Connecting Materials.
In the third and fourth years, you will do a two-week internship.
What can you do with this profile?
With your diploma, you can move on to different MBO programs. Many students continue in a technical direction. For example, mechatronics, electrical engineering, ICT or engineering.
