Our school
The Sondervick College is a school for vmbo basis/kader, mavo, havo and vwo. Beautifully located on the Kempen Campus. Every student has their own building as a base. This is nice for the students because it feels safe and familiar. So we have the advantages and facilities of a large school, but students experience the friendly atmosphere of a small school.
Our school stands in the middle of Veldhoven society. Through various projects we work together with companies and organizations from Veldhoven and surroundings. The Sondervick College is located in the brainport region and an official BrainportSchool. We pay a lot of attention to internationalization.
Brainport School
Our school is part of the Brainport Schools Foundation. Together with other schools in PO and VO, companies and organizations within our region we work structurally and constructively on educational development. We focus on three important pillars:
- 3Learning; entrepreneurial, inquiry and design learning. Our education encourages initiative, perseverance, curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- Ambient learning. We bring realistic issues into the school. We go on company visits or have professionals from the Brainport region provide part of our education in the form of a guest lecture or master class.
- Internationalization. This pillar focuses on world citizenship and cultural awareness. And also on increasing the ability of our students to deal with people from other cultures in their own environment. Language proficiency in one or more modern foreign languages is part of this.
