Jasmijn was so enthusiastic about the practice squares at Sondervick College that she stopped looking at other schools. She is now in the mavo/havo bridge class and is as positive as ever. "Making new friends came naturally here."

"I've known all my life that I want to be a hairdresser and later a salon manager. That's why I started looking for a high school that fits that dream. At the mavo of the Sondervick College you also get practical education. From care and welfare to cooking and technology. That practicality suits me well."

"Starting in high school was especially fun for me. In elementary school I didn't have the nicest class and I saw the Sondervick as a new beginning. I made friends quickly and fortunately my class is fun now. The homework took some getting used to, but we immediately received start-up training to learn how to plan. Great, because I had to find my way around that. I get a lot of confidence from teachers. I get compliments and useful tips for things that could be improved. That gives me the feeling that I am doing well. I have also been very lucky with my mentor. She is clear, strict when necessary and always ready to help. If I send her an email with a question, I get a response right away."
