Are you creative and do you like to work with your hands? The Building, Living and Interiors (BWI) profile at Sondervick College offers you the chance to learn the basics of building and interior design.
All classes take place in a fully equipped hands-on yard. For example, we have a format saw, a thicknessing machine, a flattening machine, a belt sander, a plotter and even a CO2 laser.
BWI at vmbo basis/kader
In BWI, as a basic or framework student, you take four compulsory basic profile subjects:
- Construction process and construction preparation
- Building from the foundation
- Wood and Furniture Joints
- Design and Decoration
In addition, you have the electives: Furniture Making, Clean Masonry, Interior Design and Design and Circular and Sustainable Construction.
In grades 3 and 4, you will do a two-week internship.
BWI on mavo mixed pathway
Are you in mavo and choosing BWI? Then you will follow two compulsory profile courses
- Construction process and construction preparation
- Design and Decoration
In addition, you choose from the electives: Interior Design and Design and Circular and Sustainable Construction.
In grades 3 and 4, you will do a two-week internship.
What can you do with this profile?
With your diploma, you can move on to various courses within the mbo. Many students choose to continue their studies in the fields of construction technology, carpentry or design.
